I am a professional harpist who recently moved to St. George. I have played the harp for 19 years, and recently graduated from Utah Valley University with a BS in Music. While still in high school I was asked to play in a two person orchestra for Colorado State University's production of "The Fantasticks." I have won 3 concerto competitions and placed second in another. I have performed with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra in Colorado, as well as the Utah Valley University Chamber and Symphonic Orchestras, the Utah Valley University Masterworks Chorale and Chamber Choir, and the Wasatch Chorale in Orem Utah.
I love playing at weddings, dinners, parties and any other special occasion.
I am also working on building up my studio. I began teaching privately nine years ago. I would love to teach you, or someone you know, how to play the harp.
In March of 2008, my wife and I got married. One of my wife's longest lasting "wedding dreams" was to have a harp play Pachelbel's Canon in D as she walked down the aisle. When I met Bryn at Utah Valley University, I realized that I had found the perfect person to help fulfil my wife's dream. She not only played for our ceremony, but provided beautiful background music for our reception. Bryn is one of the most talented harpists I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
ReplyDeleteI love listening to Bryn play! Bryn has played for me on several different occasions, and I have never been disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI have known Bryn for many years. I have heard her play many times, and she plays wonderfully. She played at a Christmas party I planned one year, and I received a lot of comments on the beauty of her playing. She is a great teacher, too!
ReplyDeleteI needed a versatile harpist to help me with a fiddling recital my students were giving. We were going to perform a lot of Irish fiddle tunes and needed the flavor of harp accompaniment for just the right sound. I handed Bryn armloads of piano and guitar music and she never batted an eye. No problem. She is a pro and added so much to our outdoor recital in the mountains. Thanks Bryn.
